Perla de las Dunas Desert Outfit from Quantum of Solace

To simulate Bond’s Desert Outfit, at the climax of Quantum, on a budget, we need to pair up some highly functional pieces that can be used with other outfits.

Bond doesn’t wear a Heather Gray shirt for this sequence, but it pairs well with the outfit.

For the Dark Blue Polo, we can use a Hanes 50/50 Polo. We can even re-use this for some of the looks in Casino Royale.

For the Quantum of Solace jeans, the best recommendation I can make is to get a pair of  Tidal Blue 501 Jeans. There are cheaper priced jeans out there but you can’t beat the quality of the jeans and the fit at the price.

The Chukkas boots at the best price aren’t hard to find, you just have to know where to look. These boots are the right color. I’ve checked and rechecked through trusted resources. In photos the boots look light because they’re so dusty.

An Omega Watch that bond wears for any of the Daniel Craig films will set you back about $3500. My recommendation is to wear something that you’re comfortable with. Something that you’re comfortable buying. For the price you can’t beat the
Casio Men’s Analog Dress Watch.

Next up, grab a pair of Aviator Sunglasses. Just make sure that they have the bridge across the top.

Bond’s Harrington Jacket is a specially made item that doesn’t have a ribbed-knit cuffs and waist, but for the money we can get something that looks a lot like it. The ribbed knit cuffs and waist will actually help to get a more tailored look. This Barracuda Jacket from London Fog will fit the bill nicely and not break the bank. Make sure you get it in Navy Blue.

Not counting the Heather Gray shirt, this whole outfit will cost about : $275. Compare that to the thousands you’d spend if you bought the actual pieces.
